Manteigaria
The best pastel de nata in Cascais — freshly baked, warm, flaky, and dusted with cinnamon. Recently opened in central Cascais and already the top pastry stop in town. You can watch them being made through the glass. A pastel de nata is the perfect kid-handleable pastry — small, not too sweet, and eaten in four bites. The queue moves fast.
Häagen-Dazs (Paredão)
Not local, not artisanal, doesn't pretend to be. But it's exactly there when you need it — right on the paredão between Cascais and Estoril, perfectly positioned as a reward after the playground or the halfway bribe on a promenade walk. Outdoor seating with sea views. Kids know it, kids want it, and sometimes that's the only metric that matters.
